When she was younger, she and her family would go to church on Sundays and their local church had a majestic stained glass window. She remembers being mesmerized by the way light interacted with the window, so much so that she would often pay more attention to the window behind the altar than the preaches and prayers going on around her. As she grew up, society’s focus shifted from spirituality to productivity and going to church is no longer practiced as it is seen as a waste of time. Vitrai thinks this switch is pitiful and is adamant about proving people how the unproductive and unpurposeful can bring beauty to life. She devotes herself to the art of glassmaking and believes if she can master her craft, she can convince people to realize that the busy way of living in the city is devoid of meaning and should change.
