ABOUT

For the short film "The Birthright of Tizocoathl", I handled the texturing, shading, and lighting for 8 key shots using Blender. This involved a multi-step process of interpreting the 2D color script references and translating them into fully-realized 3D scenes. The workflow included:

  1. Importing and applying textures to 3D models

  2. Developing custom shaders to achieve the desired look

  3. Setting up lighting to match the mood and atmosphere of each shot

  4. Iterating on the visuals to align with the original 2D concept art

This process required careful attention to detail to ensure the final 3D renders captured the artistic vision established in the pre-production color scripts. By leveraging Blender's powerful tools, I was able to bring depth and dimension to the film's visual style while maintaining consistency with the initial creative direction.
